We just recently finished a five week trip along the coast of Oaxaca. First we came up to Tehuantepec and then took a van up to Oaxaca City (which is not on the coast and not in this present report either. More on this city later – if I get around to it!).
After spending a few days in Oaxaca City we took a long arduous van trip to Puerto Escondido. We took our leisurely time going down the coast, backtracking once or twice, from Escondido back to Tehuantepec. This last town is not really on the coast, but I will include it here also.
The towns we stayed in, more or less on the coast, are Puerto Escondido, Mazunte, Zipolite, Puerto Angel, Pochutla ( about ten kilometers inland) and Crucecito in Huatulco.
